King George IIIs’ bathing machine that used to protect his modesty when changing before and after a dip in the Sea here at Weymouth was recently removed for professional renovation.

Today (Friday 1st June 2012) marked it’s return to pride of place on Weymouth’s Esplanade in the area in front of the Kings’ Statue.

If you’re planning a trip to Weymouth it’s well worth a look, a very interesting part of the areas history, and is further enhanced by the new large palm trees that now line the grassy area in fron th of the statue.
