Weymouth Esplanade and beach were busy with locals and visitors alike tonight, for the Queens’ Diamond Jubilee firework display followed by the Beacon lighting at The Nothe Fort.

The display and beacon lighting was supported by the appearance of a very Orange moon sitting behind the new Sealife Tower, and throughout the display were sequesnces of the new laser lights, although not easily seen as it was still partly light, and therefore not the best conditions for the lights to be seen.

As the fireworks finished in Weymouth bay, the Jubilee beacon at the Nothe was lit, and another series of fireworks supported the lighting ceremony.
