Terms and Conditions

Booking fees

In order to secure a room booking at “Weymouth Beach B and B”, a non-refundable deposit equivalent to the first nights stay per room is required to confirm bookings.

Each room booking requires the payment of the aforementioned deposit before that room can be confirmed.  In the case of bookings for multiple rooms, a separate booking fee for each room being booked is required.

Once the relevant deposits have been paid, the room will be confirmed in writing to you.

Please note:  We reserve the right to re-let rooms where a deposit has not been received.

Cancellation Policy

In order to cancel a booking without incurring additional charges associated with the booking, we require a minimum of 48 hours notice prior to commencement of your booking.

Guests cancelling a booking after this 48 hour deadline has expired will be required to pay the remaining balance of their stay and hereby authorise us to use the debit/credit card details provided at time of booking.

Refund Policy

In the event of a booking being cancelled, please bear in mind that the deposit  paid at time of booking is non-refundable.

Curtailment

Guests wishing to leave before the booked end date of their stay, do so entirely at their own discretion.  In such cases the cost of the booking will stand and no negotiation will be entered into regarding refunds.

Non-Arrival

Guests who fail to arrive for a booking, and who haven’t called to cancel as per the cancellations policy above will be required to pay the whole cost of the stay, less any booking fee already paid and hereby authorise “The Channel” to use the debit/credit card provided to us at time of booking as method of payment.

Policy on Stag Parties, Hen Parties or other single sex groups

Here at “Weymouth Beach B and B” we do not allow bookings from single sex groups of any kind, whether they be stag, hen or other types of such parties. We reserve the right to refuse accommodation and cancel bookings where it turns out that such a booking has been made, even if they were made as separate individual room bookings.

Adult Only Policy

Weymouth Beach B and B operates an adult only policy when accepting bookings.

When booking room(s) with us please bear in mind that under our terms and conditions, anyone under the age of 16 constitutes a child.  We reserve the right to refuse accommodation for anyone who has booked with us and arrives with someone under the age of 16, in this case your non-refundable deposit and the remainder of the accommodation cost would be payable.

Holiday insurance (that includes cancellation cover) is highly recommended.

Settlement of Accounts

Please settle your account on arrival, by credit/debit card, travellers cheque (in sterling), or by cash.

We do not accept cheques as a method of balance settlement.

Arrival & Departure

Check-in is from Mid-day to 6pm if you feel your arrival will be after 6pm please telephone first in order to arrange a mutually suitable time to check in.  For arrivals before Mid-day, we are able to offer to store luggage, this will be at the owners risk.

As a family run business we have no staff and as with any other family home there are occasions where we may have to go out to suppliers, the bank or to drop off or pick up our children etc, hence it makes it much easier for us to plan these things if we have a reasonable estimate of your arrival time.

Failure to advise of early or late arrival, or changes to previously advised check-in times may result in you finding no one available to let you into the house and thereby cause delays in your check-in.

Therefore we highly recommend you call 01305 785405 to advise of any changes to your arrival time to ensure you avoid any delays in check-in.

Occupancy Limits

The room(s) you book with us have a specific occupancy limit as determined by Fire safety regulations and limits placed upon us by our insurance. When you book room(s) with us your booking tells us how many people are in each room under the standard operating limits of (double room, twin room or king room = max 2 people, single rooms = max 1 person). If on arrival or at sometime during your stay someone joins you in any particular room, the number of people cannot exceed the maximum number aforementioned and in all cases you must immediately find a member of staff and advise them of the change as additional charges may apply and those persons will need to be added to the Fire safety register.

Car Parking

Weymouth Beach B and B holds a limited number of car parking permits, available on a first come first served basis for stays of  2 nights or longer. A number of them allow parking on streets around The Channel, and some are for a local car park just a few minutes walk away from the premises.

In the event that all car park permits are already allocated when you arrive, we will direct you to the Swannery car park and ask you to pay & display which costs £8.00 per day, we will also ask you to keep your tickets until the end of your stay and on departure we will refund the cost of your parking for every valid Swannery car park pay & display ticket you present up to a maximum value of £8 per day. Other car parks are available around The Channel with varying daily costs, you can choose to park your car in one of these alternate locations, and again we will pay up to a maximum of £8 per day for your parking. Please note that this free parking offer excludes pay & display parking outside of Weymouth town centre associated with your own holiday or business activities.

Blue Badge Holders: If you are the holder of a valid blue badge we will direct you to parking locations around the house (subject to availability) where you can park for free and without time limit using that blue badge and will therefore not provide you with a permit as it is unnecessary

A charge of £30 will be made for a replacement should the permit not be returned by 10:00am on day of departure.

Permits are required for new guests checking in, please don’t ask members of staff if you can retain the pass past check out time as this is not possible.

Weymouth Beach B and B, it’s owners, staff or agents accept no liability for your vehicle or its contents whilst using the parking permits provided throughout your stay.

Parking fines: Please pay particular attention to the permits provided as they allow parking in specific locations which is carefully described on the narrative around the permit. Weymouth Beach B and B, its owners, staff or agents cannot be held responsible for parking tickets incurred through incorrect use or misuse of permits

Valuables

Please do not leave valuables unattended anywhere within Weymouth Beach B and B, we have no facilities for securing such items and you remain responsible for them at all times.

Damage

In the event of a guest causing damage to any property of Weymouth Beach B and B, howsoever caused, we reserve the right to charge to replace, to repair or professionally clean.

Damage such as staining to carpets, curtains, cushions, sofa’s and bedding during your stay will be photographed and assessed and you will be advised of the cost of repair, professional cleaning or replacement of the damaged items.

There will be a £25 charge for lost keys.

Smoking, e-Cigarettes & Vaping

For the comfort of all our guests and to comply with the law, Weymouth Beach B and B is a completely non-smoking establishment. The use of e-Cigarettes, Vaping kits, and e-Cigarette/Vaping kit chargers is also prohibited.

If we discover anyone smoking or evidence of smoking then the guest will be asked to leave without refund and a charge of £100 will be made to facilitate the professional cleaning of that room. We also reserve the right to charge for additional room nights in the affected room where it cannot be sold due to cleaning or residual smoke residue.

Candles and other flammable materials or substances

Use of candles, tea lights or any other burning or flammable materials/substances is strictly forbidden anywhere within the building.

Guests found with any such materials or evidence of prior use of such materials/substances may be asked to leave with immediate effect without the possibility of  refund.

General behaviour,  and/or excessive noise

We ask all guests staying at Weymouth Beach B and B to be respectful of staff, other guests, the building,  fixtures & fittings and soft furnishings at all times throughout your stay.

Complaints from staff and/or other guests of inappropriate, disrespectful or unduly noisy behaviour will be investigated and acted upon.

If for whatever reason you are found to be unduly noisy, abusive or to have caused any damage within the building, we reserve the right to remove you from the building with no possibility of refund.

We also reserve the right to inform the Police and pass your details onto them where we feel a criminal act has occurred or is likely to occur.

Pets

Assistance dogs are always welcome at Weymouth Beach B and B, however we are unable to accept pets.

Complaints

At Weymouth Beach B and B every precaution is taken to provide for the security and comfort of our guests, however guests are responsible for their own person and property.  Any loss, damage, theft or accident should be reported as soon as possible.

For any other issues affecting the enjoyment of your stay please inform the owners as soon as possible and certainly before you leave, to enable us to make all reasonable efforts to remedy the situation.

Change of tariffs, terms and conditions, room specifications and breakfast menu.

Weymouth Beach B and B reserves the right to change tariffs, terms and conditions, room specifications and/or breakfast menu without prior notice.

Errors and Omissions Excepted applies to all the content of this website, correspondence and emails sent from Weymouth Beach B and B.

Our terms and conditions are deemed to have been read, understood & accepted when a booking is made.
